Dining with the Devil! At last Buhari sends wife to Mbaka |
Enugu-based Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka is dining with the killer and persecutor of his people. General Muhammadu Buhari prides himself as one who killed Biafrans and willing to kill more. Presently he is illegal holding the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafrans in secret detention cells across Nigeria.
For the role he played in trying to shore up Buhari's support in Biafra, Buhari has sent his wife Aisha to pay a courtesy visit with Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka.
In a move masked as "Aishatu Buhari women health initiative", which was held at the Queens College Enugu, Aisha sneaked to meet with Mbaka and personally thank him for supporting the husband.
Mbaka's support for Buhari came after he felt he was treated with disdain by former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, who also sent his wife to visit Mbaka. Consequently, Mbaka openly denounced Jonathan and asked Biafrans to vote for an ardent Muslim, in the person of Buhari.
Mbaka, who according to him used to be an ardent fan of President Jonathan on his New Year message to his congregation berated President Jonathan and asked him to ‘honourably resign’ in other to invariably pave way for the emergence of Islamic Jihadist General Muhammadu Buhari (rtd).
The Biafran gathers that Mbaka may have been disenchanted with President Jonathan as an aftermath of a visit the president’s wife paid him. Two months earlier, Mbaka endorsed President Jonathan for a second term when his wife visited the Adoration Ground at Enugu. But it appears that Mbaka’s hopes for open access to the president, which was rebuffed by the First Lady, angered him.
According to the Sun, Mbaka stated during a sermon at the Christ the King Catholic Parish GRA, Enugu that he requested severally for the contact number of the First Lady, but was ignored. He was rather given the contact number of a pastor with Mrs Jonathan. To rub insult to injury, after the visit, Mbaka tried severally to contact the First Lady via the number and was getting only an underling. It appears that possible monetary reward promised Mbaka that was not fulfilled had helped swell Mbaka’s anger on the President. In Mbaka’s words: “When she came here, I told her to give me her number so that I could give her messages, but thrice she refused. It was later she told one of the pastors with her to give me his number.
“So, before that message, I had called the number for two weeks but it was always the Personal Assistant to the pastor that picked the calls.”
