The former national chairman of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) in the Third Republic and erstwhile Foreign Affairs minister, Chief Tom Ikimi, has excoriated one of the leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Ikimi, who yesterday withdrew from the APC, citing his inability to coexist with those he described as petty-minded people or condone the domineering influence of  Bola Ahmed Tinubu, punctured the overrated influence and wealth of Tinubu, which he suggested came from fraudulent means.

Former National chairmanship aspirant of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chief Tom Ikimi, has announced his withdrawal from the party.

Ikimi in a statement made available to newsmen said, “I have made the decision to withdraw my membership from the All Progressives Congress (APC) from today, 27th August 2014″.

After shameful rejection by APC Tom Ikimi concludes plan to defect to PDP



After suffering rejection by a party he helped midwife, the erstwhile Nigeria Foreign Affairs minister and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Tom Ikimi is on the verge of leaving his party for the one he once rejected. This will be another loss by the APC of a senior member to the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Ikimi, the former chairman of the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) during the third republic has concluded plans to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which he left nearly 10 years ago to team up with opposition politicians.
