Ekwulobia Prison comes to mind as Boko Haram attacks prison in Niger State
Suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched an attack on a prison in the southern Niger town of Diffa late on Saturday, military sources said. This was in an apparent bid to free fellow terrorist held there.

Three of the assailants and one soldier were reportedly killed before the attack was repelled, the sources said. Boko Haram also attacked the prison in February.

Hausa Youths and Gwari youths are killing each other in Niger State. Following the violent clash, the Niger Government has declared curfew in Paiko Local Government Area of the state. The News Agency of Nigweria (NAN) reports that one person has been killed, howver The Biafrn expects the death toll to rise.

Babangida's impeachment: Police seal up Niger state House of Assembly
Police have sealed up the Niger state House of Assembly stopping members and staff from gaining entry over alleged speculation of a plot to impeach the governor Mu'azu Babangida Aliyu.
A detachment of police and members of the Department of State Security Service (DSS) took over the premises of the assembly on Tuesday as early as 6:30 am leading to traffic gridlock along Paikoro road.
