RESPONDING TO THE INFAMOUS STATEMENTS BY THE GERMAN AMBASSADOR TO NIGERIA, MR. BERNHARD SCHLAGHECK.

The Directorate of State (DOS) read with consternation, the infamous statements made by the German Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Bernhard Schlagheck, when he visited Mr. Chiedozie Ogbonnia of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, an organization whose credibility is quickly eroding by the day. The Premium Times of July 24, 2017, reported Mr. Schlagheck as saying that “all stakeholders should respect the Nigerian Constitution and territorial integrity of Nigeria.” Mr. Schlagheck further stated that the so-called “representatives in the parliament will take appropriate steps to make the restructuring process successful for the people of Nigeria” and advised that “all stakeholders abide by the constitution and bring in what they have to say in the discussion process and make Nigeria better, prosperous and more successful.”
