Rejection of South-East Development Commission: Nigeria's last mistake that will ENERGISE Biafra restoration |
The House of Representative was on Thursday, thrown into a rowdy session after members, particularly those outside the South-East region, disagreed on a bill seeking to establish the South-East Development Commission over its timing, leading to it being stepped down. The lawmakers who disagreed argued that much consultations were not carried out before the bill was presented to the house. The development which angered the South-East lawmakers saw them immediately voicing their displeasure over the development.

Therefore, with the rejection of the bill, which the Biafran federal lawmakers hoped would have been used to assuage the feelings of IPOB and others, one thing has become very clear to the lawmakers. IPOB has been right all along. Biafrans can never move forward nor develop while still in Nigeria.
It is unfortunate Nigeria made this mistake few days after the seriousness and popularity of Biafra independence was clearly demonstrated to the entire world through a one day sit-at-home that saw the entire south east shutdown.

BIAFRA: "KILLING" OF THE SOUTH EAST DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION BILL IS A GOOD OMEN FOR THE BIAFRAN RESTORATION PROJECT.
Another history of denial and conspiracy against the Igbos and the Biafran region was made in Nigeria recently with the rejection of the South East Development Commission Bill sponsored by the Deputy Minority Leader of the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Chukwuka Onyema.
The bill which seek amongst other things to create a commission that will be responsible for the infrastructural and developmental needs of the region was rejected by lawmakers mostly from Northern axis of the country for no tangible reason except for the fact that the Igbos have no reason to demand for such right in this contraption called Nigeria.
It's on record that not even a single lawmaker from the North supported the bill. All of the Northern lawmakers the rejected the bill. Dani Abdu (APC, Abuchi) said that the bill was very "suspicious" coming at the time that the South Easterners were calling for a Biafra nation and thus wondered why the bill made mention of the inability of the government to develop the South East region after the Biafra war. To him the South East does not deserve any such commission especially since the bill mentioned the taboo word "Biafra" Mohammed Garbage Datti (APC, Kaduna) argued that the South East does not deserve the commission because the bill sponsor made mention of the fact that the South East was marginalized.
He screamed that the Igbos are not marginalised and thus that he does not want to hear of us talk in the future from anyone especially from those from the region. Some of the other northerner lawmaker that spoke during the debate claimed that there was no consultation (begging and pleading) with them before the bill was introduced. A lawmaker from Kogi state claimed that if the bill is allowed for the Igbos that it will lead to similar demands by other regions. Therefore, the Igbos should not be allowed to have such commission. It's equally to be noted that the rejection of the bill was spearheaded by lawmakers from the APC party. This further demonstrates the the hatred from APC party for the South East is pathological.
At least, this will teach the lawmakers from Biafra a big lesson that we: The self determination agitators are right in maintaining that Nigeria is irredeemable and that the marginalisation of our people and land can never stop because it is systematic and deliberate. It's further obvious to the Biafra lawmakers that the much "mouthed talk" of restructuring the nation is a mere wishful thinking that will equally be killed like the SEDC. T
he backstabbing of the lawmakers from the Biafran region after helping to pass the North East Development Commission should equally be a big lesson to them. It's obvious to our lawmakers and even the blind that Nigeria "No belong Ndigbo and Biafrans" (apologies to my Liberian brothers) This is a call for all and sundry to join the call for Biafran referendum. It's time for the Law makers from the region to key into the Biafra restoration project to avoid future regrets.
