Heavy war is raging in Nembe town in Bayelsa State. Arewa militants masquerading as Nigerian soldiers have launched intensive attack the Bayelsa community over control of crude oil resources.
Niger Delta militants are rebuffing the invasion and ferociously attacking the Arewa militants.
The militants attacked an Arewa military post by the sea, disarmed the soldiers and escaped with a military gunboat. According to a reports from local news media, the ND militants, on Monday morning disguised in white-mourning outfits, a red cap and a white flag in front of the boat drove directly to the JTF check-point chanting "Asawana-wana". They killed three soldiers and made away with two gunboats.
Arewa militants are all over the town with aircrafts bombing suspected bases of the Niger Delta militant hideouts.
Eyewitness account has it that Niger Delta militants are firing at the military jets with anti-aircraft guns, to bring down the jets.
