The Council of Imams and Ulamas has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to investigate the President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Pastor Ayo Oristejafor, over the $9.3 seized armed deal. In a statement signed by the Chairman of the council, Sheik Usman Baba Tuni and Secretary, Ustaz Yusuf Arrigasiyyu,  made available to the media over the weekend in Kaduna, the council wondered why the Nigerian government has refused to investigate Oritsejeafor whose aircraft was used in the purchase of arms from South Africa.

No fewer than 300 Nigerian soldiers fled to Cameroon when Boko Haram insurgents overran Mubi, the second largest city in Borno State from security forces on Wednesday. 

Cameroonian military sources told Punch correspondent that Nigerian soldiers fled the north-eastern part of Nigeria, where the insurgency launched by the sect was raging, and crossed the Nigeria-Cameroon border.

The sources also said more Nigerian troops might have fled to other border towns in Cameroon after the Mubi attack. However, he added that their number had yet to be ascertained.

The Vatican has stated that Halloween is evil and should be replaced with Holyween so children can dress up as saints and pray on the eve of 31 October of every year. 

This is contained in a statement released after Vatican's first conference of exorcists. The Catholic exorcists warned of dangers of Halloween to children, due to increase in occult activity during this festival.
