The relationship between the Republic of Biafra and the Catalonia government was today reaffirmed during the Diada, the Catalonia Annual National Day held today in the streets of Barcelona.
In a deftly crafted diplomatic move, the Indigenous People of Biafra led by the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu couple of months ago discussed pertinent issues bothering on mutual assistance for the two prospecting republics.
The semi autonomous Catalonia region of Spain is gunning for their Independence. Already an Independence referendum has been scheduled for the November 8, 2014, making this years Diada a very crucial one of the region. Yesterday, the Catalonia president Artur Mas, warned it was "practically impossible" to stop the region voting on secession from Spain and looked to Scotland to smooth the way with its own independence referendum.
Artur Mas, who has defied Madrid by calling a vote on independence for the rich northeastern region on November 9, predicted Scotland would stay in the European Union even if it chooses independence and drew hope from that for his own cause.
Biafrans all over Spain and representatives from Europe had gone en mass to support the Catalonia government at this years Diada. In turn the Catalonia government reiterated their continued support for the freedom of Biafra from Nigeria.
According to the Director of Radio Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, the current arrowhead of the Biafran restoration struggle "the bond between Catalonia and Biafra was visibly demonstrated by the presence of Biafrans at the remembrance of fallen Catalan heroes. The Catalan Minister of State was at hand to reaffirm the relationship between Catalans and Biafrans by publically reassuring me and Biafrans present of their support for Biafra. All over Spain and for viewers of the network tv station TV3 Catalan they witnessed Biafran flag alongside that of Catalan for the world to know we are one. Chukwu Abhiama is God"
