In civilian and democratic governments across the world, soldiers are rarely seen milling about the presidents or prime ministers. Democratic presidents are protected by security service agents and not soldiers, whereas dictators are protected by soldiers. With democracy soldiers are pushed to the background.
However, General Muhammadu Buhari has opted for soldiers to provide close body protection for him. What that simply says is that despite the pretenses General Buhari intends to run Nigeria as a dictator!
