Breaking News: Nigerian Soldiers launches attack on Ohafia youths:  Heavy shooting reported

News has it that there is heavy gun shot in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, it was reported that one person was allegedly wounded and properties including houses worth several millions of naira destroyed as soldiers of the 14 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Ohafia, Abia State clashed with civilians in the area.

Abia State House of Assembly Monday ordered an investigation into a petition brought by the member representing Ohafia South constituency, Chief Uchendu Ifeanyi. The House set up an ad hoc committee to probe the reported hoisting of a sign post with the inscription “Fulani Republic” near the Ohafia Army Barracks by suspected Fulani herdsmen.
