Please don't go to Lagos! It is too risky. You have though Nigeria a good lesson We still need you here - Wike urges Nnamdi Kanu

  • Nigeria would have been out of shape if not for Kanu
  • The Eastern Region still needs you

The Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike has urged Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) not to embark on a planned evangelisation trip to Lagos State. It has been announced in past couple of days that Kanu was planning to storm Lagos State and Kaduna State to speak to Biafrans living in those places.

However, addressing the media today at government House Port Harcourt, Wike who himself has come under  attack by Kanu for travelling to Sokoto to consult the Sultan of Sokoto, expressed fears over the dangers that may occur if Kanu, embark on his visit to Lagos State, mo City TV reports.

Speaking to the press, Wike said, " the whole of Eastern region has not being thoroughly convinced yet; for him to embark on that tour is like a suicide mission, we still need him here, even though I have never supported him for one day, but I think that his actions have thought Nigeria a good lesson of their mistakes, and where they need to amend.

"I urge him to stay back with his people. Going to Lagos is not a welcomed development."

He also revealed that if not for Nnamdi Kanu, Nigeria would have been out of shape. I urge him to stay back with his people, going to Lagos is not a welcomed development."
