A Biafran engineer has manufactured a car from scratch with locally-sourced materials. the engineer, Alex Ephraim, an auto technician and the pioneer of E&JAAS hails from Ogwuaga, Abba in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State. 

The pioneer of this workshop is a product of two(2) leading automobile training Institutes in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain, Europe- Escuela DE Oficios and CEAC- from where he received a three(3) year training in Auto Technology.He pursued this training right after he obtained his National Diploma in Agricultural Engineering from Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. He turned down a number of job opportunities and offers after his training in Europe and chose to be useful and be a blessing to his people back at home.

E&JAAS started in 2010 and became a corporate body in July 2011 in Owerri, the capital of Imo State, South East of Nigeria.Alex Ephraim, the pioneer of E&JAAS hails from Ogwuaga, Abba in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State.

E&JAAS is a Multi-brand workshop whose first step was car diagnostics and repairs. The six(6) years experience of our technician in car repairs formed the momentum for the next great step which is car making/production.

This became reality when the first prototype “IYI” was driven out of the workshop on 21st of December, 2016 . The second prototype, designed and developed by E&JAAS for Military Operations and community policing that started February 2017 will be ready for test runs at the end of 2017.

The training of our technician in Europe exposed E&JAAS to auto equipment manufacturing companies like Texa, Ravaglioli etc. Due to this exposure, E&JAAS is well equipped with modern/sophisticated machine and tools such as multi Pegaso, etc designed by Texa which is one of the biggest and leading on board Diagnostic(ODB) manufacturer in Europe.

The new vehicle has been nicknamed BiafraKwezuonu 2017 Model. A social crusader in Imo State, Ikenna Samuelson Iwuoha used his social media page to showcase the car and the Biafran auto engineer.

Iwuoha showed off the beautiful pictures of the strong machine built by an Imo state indigene who used locally available materials in the state.
