There is palpable apprehension in the corridors of the Nigerian Defence Headquarters as Niger Delta Avengers deny attacking a military houseboat and killing all soldiers and civilians onboard.
In a tweet sent out in the early hours of today, the Avengers stated that they did not attack the military houseboat.

This denial is sending fear down the spine of soldiers currently in operation in the Niger Delta as it suggests that even a deadlier militant group is on the prowl in the Niger Delta hunting Nigerian soldiers.

The Niger Delta Avengers attacks have so far focused on facilities and no death has been attributed to them.
Yesterday, the Joint Niger Delta Liberation Force in a press statement threaten to launch missile attacks on Nigerian military aircrafts.
