How Buhari used Boko Haram soldiers as PERSONAL bodyguards

How Buhari used Boko Haram soldiers as Personal bodyguards
It has now been revealed that 'General' Muhammadu Buhari's personal bodyguards have strong links with Boko Haram terrorists group. This is not really surprising considering that Buhari strongly defended Boko Haram and prevented the government of Goodluck Jonathan to crackdown on the terrorists.

Thisday in 2014 reported the following:  "Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) National Leader, Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has criticised the declaration of state of emergency in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States and the subsequent military offensive against the Boko Haram Islamic sect. Buhari, who featured on the “Guest of the Week,” a Hausa programme of the Kaduna-based Liberty Radio, yesterday said the federal government’s action was a gross injustice against the north."

One Corporal Hassan Aminu, a member of the presidential bodyguard squad for Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has been arrested following his alleged links with terrorist group, Boko Haram.

According to Vanguard, Aminu has been taken into custody by security operatives where he is undergoing interrogation.

This is actually a charade. Hassan Aminu was not really an enemy of Buhari, otherwise he have attack in the past months that he had close access to Buhari. And if he is not an enemy he must be a friend that was rewarded, before things went sour.

It remains unclear how, Hassan Aminu, an army corporal got into the Nigerian Army and how he was assigned to guard the president. It is not negligence that he passed through the numerous vetting to get to guard Buhari.

Attempts to reach the president’s spokespersons for comment have not yielded results.

Recall that in February 2016, there was a security breach in Aso Rock during an official visit of the Danish foreign affairs minister, Mr. Kristian Jensen.

Jensen was on a working visit to Nigeria when he visited Nigeria’s vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa on February 23, 2016 and his entourage was passing through security clearance when the DSS operative, later identified as a soldier fired his weapon.

“Immediately, there was panic and the security detail of the visiting Danish foreign minister whisked him into the toilet for safety,” a security source told The Trent about this incident which was later confirmed by the Danish foreign minister.

“It was discovered that the weapon was discharged accidentally. It was a big relief for all of us present. Nigeria, certainly, missed a bullet with that one,” our source, who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity, said.

“This is what you get when you replace highly trained DSS operatives with soldiers,” a security source familiar with the situation told The Trent that the shot was fired in the direction of the visiting foreign minister and it was fired by a soldier who had been assigned to the Presidential Villa.

“When the new president came he ordered that DSS operatives at the Villa [Aso Rock] be replaced with soldiers. This directive, led to disagreements between the President’s security detail and the DSS, there was a whole lot of back-and-forth and some officers were fired from the service because of it,” the source, who pleaded anonymity, told our reporter.

“DSS operatives who are assigned to protect the President are highly trained and in the history of the service, this kind of embarrassment has never happened,” our source said.
