Resounding Silence as Fani-Kayode languishes in EFCC cell - Biafran Herald blast Yoruba cowardice and abandonment of their son |
For the past one week, since Femi Fani Kayode answered the clarion call of Buhari's EFCC, nobody has ever heard from him, even as the EFCC has been randomly besieging his home in search of one thing or the other best known them.
The most astonishing of this latest episode of Muhammadu Buhari's tyrannical government is the sickening silence being maintained by Nigerians and their media outlets despite the fact that their rule of law is severely being suffocated by Buhari's government.
I couldn't resist the urge to speak out even if it means 'mourning more than the bereaved'. As far as I know, the worst form of tyranny is bred by the silence and inaction of those who are destined to resist it. So, even if Nigerians decides to turn a blind eye to the Nigeria-ship which Buhari is profusely sinking, Biafrans can never be silent or intimidated into remaining mute in the face of evil.
Femi Fani Kayode has been one of the most renowned critic of the dictatorial, terrorism and the jihadist tendencies of Muhammadu Buhari, the incumbent Nigerian President. When Buhari's henchmen(DSS) kidnapped Nnamdi Kanu who is still under incarceration for about 215days now, Kayode spoke out against Buhari's tyranny and mass killing of innocent unarmed Biafran activists who were protesting against Kanu's illegal detention. This is coming at a time when Nigerians were either blinded by ethnic sentiments or were out rightly intimidated to condemn such an atrocity. Even the Biafran politicians were too corrupt to condemn atrocities being perpetrated against their people by Buhari and his security agencies, due to fear of falling into the hands of Buhari's hungry lions. Kayode rose and said it 'pump and plain' that the British contraption called Nigeria is a failed State and that Buhari is destined to bring Nigeria to an end.
Without being told, I knew that it is only a matter of time before the man who has been trending for the wrong reasons since he was sworn in as Nigeria President began to unleash his venom of tyranny and intimidation on Kayode just as he has been doing on Nnamdi Kanu and others.
Before his incarceration, Kayode had for long shredded Buhari's EFCC into fragments through his facebook page. If not, by now, media outlets like Sahara Reporters could have swung into action to demonise him and justify his continued extra-judicial detention, which has been their trademark ever since Buhari assumed office as President.
Had Ayodele Fayose, the governor of Ekiti State who is the most renowned critic of Dictator Buhari not been covered by immunity, the condition Buhari could have left him would have been worse than that of Sambo Dasuki and Nnamdi Kanu. This makes Buhari's anti-corruption war a mere charade, as he is hell bent on intimidating his oppositions while his allies who have been accused of embezzling billions of public funds to fund his presidential campaigns have not only been moving freely, but are also being rewarded with lucrative positions as his cabinet members.
No wonder David Cameron didn't know when it spilled out from his mouth that Buhari's Nigeria is 'fantastically corrupt' of which Buhari foolishly admitted.
