Femi Adesina TEST THE WATERS! Please tell your Buhari to conduct a referendum on Biafra - Biafrans challenge Buhari's spokesman on popularity of Biafra restoration cause

Femi Adesina TEST THE WATER! Please tell your Buhari to conduct a referendum on Biafra - Biafrans challenge Buhari's spokesman on popularity of Biafra restoration cause
In a recent interview with PUNCH, Femi Adesina, special adviser to General Muhammadu Buhari  on media and publicity opined that if a referendum was conducted in the South East, the result will show that a larger number will prefer to stay within the Nigerian federation. According to him he was very sure that generation that fought the 30 months civil war to keep Nigeria as one will never be part of the quest of the current agitators. While this is an obvious fallacy, as the generation of Biafrans who he was referring to did not fight to keep Nigeria one. They fought to defend the independent state of Biafra.

This makes nonsense of his logic and rewriting of history. According to Adesina, “Why did we fight that 30-month grueling civil war to keep Nigeria one if at the end of the day, people will just stand up and say ‘we are dismembering the country’?”

Who was he referring to as we? At least 80% of the millions of people who died in that war were Biafrans. They died with hatred for Nigeria burning deep in their hearts. The died because they prefered not to be referred to as Nigerians. They chose death than to go back to Nigeria. So who is Adesina trying to deceive?

Adesina believes members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would not have taken to the streets if former President Goodluck Jonathan did not lose the 2015 election.

“What is IPOB asking for? They say they are being marginalised, when did they realise that they are being marginalised? Is it about 12 months ago when power changed hands? If the former President Goodluck Jonathan government had continued, would there have been that agitation? Were they not saying he is Ebele Azikwe and he is their brother and that his administration was an administration of the south-east?

Well Adesina forgot that Biafra has been there right from Obasanjo's regime. Radio Biafra was blasting Jonathan. He should do himself a favour by listening to  old broadcast of Radio Biafra as far back as 2013, which were under Jonathan. As a matter of fact IPOB declared the expiration of the Nigeria's amalgamation on 31st December, 2014.

Truth is Adesina's boss, Buhari catalysed Biafran restoration (we are grateful to him for that)  and brought it to limelight when he decided to abduct and illegally detain Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of IPOB. That singular act, catapulted Biafra to an unexpected height. His continued crackdown on Biafrans has continued to fan the embers of Biafran restoration.

Adesina continued on what he believes is the unpopularity of the desire to restore Biafra:
“The issue is that even among those who live in that geographical area that used to be called Biafra, is there a consensus that they want self-determination? Among those who are there, there is no consensus. Those young people got together because they never experienced war, they never knew the trauma of the civil war in which more than two million Nigerians died. They are the ones beating the drums of self-determination.”

Really? No consensus? Did he see the massive protests, even in the face of military and police brutality?

If Adesina truly believes that Biafra is unpopularity why hasn't he advised his tyrant boss to conduct a referendum on Biafra independence?

Femi Adesina, please test the waters. Biafrans hereby challenge you and your boss to conduct the referendum. AT least that would rest the issue of Biafra for a long time in Nigeria. Why did he prefer to kill innocent protesters to organising the referendum?
