The Islamization of Nigeria is real and imminent |
There is nothing wrong with Islam as a religion, but everything is wrong with some adherents of that religion who have grown with the wrong understanding of that religion. Anyone who will want to impose his or her religion on the people, no matter how subtly is not a religious fanatic like you will want me to believe, but is a mentally ill individual suffering from what I will like to call, religious inferiority.
One of the things used to campaign against the emergence of Buhari as President and the APC as the ruling Party is the fear that the duo may pursue an Islamic agenda in a secular country like Nigeria.
This is already happening, with Governor Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State authoring a noxious bill which he has dispatched to the Kaduna legislature, seeking to gag Christian evangelists, President Buhari has gone to Saudi Arabia to lump Nigeria into an Islamic coalition against terror without as much discussing it with the National Assembly.
There are several other subterranean moves going on within this government that has forced people like Governor Ayo Fayose to raise the alarm over the imminent Islamization of Nigeria, and our Christian or professed Christian brethren who are APC are keeping quiet over it, because they think they are benefiting from the present government.
For someone like me, who has built my church in my heart, it may not matter so much if they go ahead to islamize this country, because they won't be able to demolish my own church, unless I am dead, but for those whose major show of Christianity is in structures called churches, this is the time to start raising the alarm.
This government operates in secrecy, and before you know it, it may have become a crime for your wife not to wear hijab to office, or for you not to perform ablution five times every day.
Already, people are being denied political appointments due to their not being Muslims, tomorrow, your children may be denied admission into schools, because they are not Muslims, or even denied healthcare for not observing Islamic laws and practices. May such a day not come in Nigeria.
NIGERIA MUST PREVAIL!
