Breaking: Tompolo on the run as his hiding place gets EXPOSED |
Mr. Oweizide Ekpemupolo (Tompolo) is wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on a 49 counts charge including the diversion of N45.9 billion Naira. The EFCC has filed a 49 count charges against Oweizide Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo which includes conspiracy and diversion of funds belonging to NIMASA but has failed to make himself available as ordered by the court.
The Convoy
The aforementioned fugitive is from Okerenkoko, Gbaramutu Kingdom in the Warri South-West Local Government Area of Delta State. Tompolo’s last address is at No. 1, Chief Agbanu Street, DDPA Extension, Warri, Delta State, however, he wasn’t found present when the EFCC sent operatives to apprehend him. Instead, he was harboured by Kingsley Otuaro at his Asaba residence. He is also said to be cruising about town in the deputy governor’s convoy to avoid detection by security operatives. Whenever, the envoy is en-route to a location, security operatives are made to believe it’s either the governor or his deputy in the motorcade. However, sources close to the government house have also confirmed the authenticity of this report.
THE PLOT THICKENS
It is no news that Tompolo sponsored the present governor and handpicked his deputy. Kingsley Otuaro happens to be a cousin to Tompolo as well as a partner and was the secretary of Federal Niger Delta Ijaw Communities (FNDIC) a group affiliated with the highly ruthless militant group, Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta (MEND.) The deputy governor was also instrumental to the 10 year deal between Global West Vessel Specialist Limited (GWVSL) and the Nigerian Maritime allegedly owned by Tompolo and Security Agency (NIMASA). The deal which is said to be over $103.4 million (N39.64billion) deal was brokered by Kingsley Otuaro as the legal counsel and consultant. Kingsley Otuaro who happens to be a strong influence in MEND and the facilitation of the amnesty deal which has seen the freedom of his militant boss during the Musa Yaradua/Goodluck Jonathan administration. More so, Kingsley Otuaro being handpicked by Tompolo has made him a go-to guy in time of need such as this. So, if security agencies and the EFCC have failed to produce Tompolo, they must have been looking in all the wrong places. Tompolo, a man who is worth N20 billion won’t be caught dead hiding in a creek but with those whom he can truly rely on to conceal his whereabouts such as the Deputy Governor, Kingsley Otuaro who also happens to be his cousin. Blood, they say, is thicker than water and that is why we would like the Deputy Governor of Delta State to comment on this issue.
