”If the Igbo don’t like it, they can attempt secession again. If they do, they must be prepared to live with the consequences. Nobody owes them anything and nobody is out to compensate them for anything." -Junaid Mohammed, the convener of the Coalition of Northern Politicians, Academics, Professionals and Businessmen.
A clearly shaken Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB), the former military dictator of Nigeria has vowed to vote for an Igbo president in 2019, in order to scuttle the raging Biafran self-determination movement. Biafran protests have rocked the world and the foundations of Nigeria.

In a chat with The Interview, IBB, described the agitation for the restoration of Biafra Republic as a distraction. “We do not need this distraction now,” he was quoted as saying, adding that, “I will vote for an Igbo president in 2019, if I find one.”

However, Biafrans have told him to shove his vote down his throat. The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) are seeking something greater and better than presidency - Biafra Republic.

The Northern Oligarchy have been making frantic efforts to lobby Biafrans not to seek self-determination. However, all entreaty made so far have woefully failed with Biafra restoration rapidly gathering local and international endorsements.

The Northern Oligarchy know that Biafrans have got every legal, cultural, moral, religious grounds to seek self-determination, and have tried used intimidation and threats, which has also failed.

Biafra is just around the corner and the prospects of that is terrifying the likes of Babangida.
