Tinubu tightens the noose around Fashola's neck! Will he fight or hang?
The Anti-Fashola onslaught unleashed by former governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu took a new twist with the termination of a concession contract granted by immediate past governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola.

The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, believed to be a Tinubu loyalists was used to tighten the corruption noose around the embattled Fashola's neck. Punch yesterday reported that Ambode has approved the termination of the concession granted by the Lagos State Development and Property Corporation to Afriland Properties for the redevelopment of the Falomo Shopping Centre, Ikoyi in Lagos.

Ambode hinted at corrupt practices in the award of the contract that was detrimental to the tax payers.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Habib Aruna, on Wednesday, the governor said the decision was informed by the recent discovery that the concession was grossly detrimental to the interests of the people of the state.

According to him, only N50m was paid by the concessionaire, Afriland Properties, for a 50-year lease of the property belonging to the government.

He said the state government, as custodian of the interests of Lagosians, was committed to the restructuring of the LSDPC to ensure it yielded positive capital returns to the state government for the ultimate benefit of the people.

Ambode had, two months ago, relieved the then Managing Director of the LSDPC, Mr. Biodun Oki, of his appointment, and appointed Mr. Jacob Agosu as Acting Chief executive Officer of the corporation, in a bid to, according to the statement, stem the tide of negative capital returns of the corporation.

It is believed that Tinubu is exposing Fahsola's corrupt tendencies in order to preclude him from being appointed a minister by General Muhammadu Buhari. The recent travails of Fashola and revelations of his award of whooping N78 million contract for the building and management of his website has been traced to Tinubu.

This recent revelation of corruption-ridden concession, a day after Fashola launched a book on his stewardship of Lagos State is another tactics deployed to tighten the noose around Fashola.

Question is will Fashola hang or will he have the courage to expose Tinubu as the mastermind of corruption in Lagos State?
