| Massive protest rocks Afikpo |
Massive protest is ongoing in Afikpo, Ebonyi State. A poster on Nairaland goig by the moniker Toolovely, posted some pictures of the protesters.
Residents of Afikpo and its environs are are reported to be staging the protest over total electricity blackout and neglect the town has experienced for over year. Various letters written to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, EEDC were not acted upon thereby aggravating the youths who feel abandoned.
A member of Ebonyi House of Assembly, Maria-Ude Nwachi (Afikpo Chick) has tried severally with her personal money to fix the light issue, without the cooperation of the EEDC.
