Nigerians voted change not public masturbation - Iwuanyanwu admonishes Buhari

Chief Chyna Iwuanyanwu, a Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has charged the  All Progressives Congress (APC) to face up to the responsibility of governance and stop masturbating in public view. Iwuanyanwu reckoned that Nigerians voted for change and not the masturbation of “I reduced my salaries" or symbolisms of "I didn’t buy new cars.”

Reacting to Buhari’s slow pace of governance, which has crippled Nigeria's election in the two months he has been in office,  Iwuanyanwu said Buhari was never prepared for leadership and as a result he is struggling to fulfill his campaign promises.

“What you are seeing now is Buhari trying to grapple with the issue of leadership. He wasn’t prepared as far as I am concerned,” he said

Iwuanyanwu who made this statement in an interview observed that apart from both the Number 1 and 2 citizens, every other person in the APC government is another PDP member, adding that the Buhari and Osibanjo alone couldn’t possibly bring the desired change.

“I have also said that the only good thing about APC is the pedigree of Buhari and Osibanjo. Every other person in the APC is like another PDP member.

“Every other person in the APC is like another PDP member. And two trees cannot make a forest in a population of 170 million people.

Recall that with the coming of the APC in 2013, it had a large influx of PDP members both at the national, state and local government level, making a large proportion of the APC former PDP members.

“We have to go for the real thing. I trust that Buhari has the pedigree and the capacity, but it’s not all about one person. He has to engage people who share his vision, and that is where the problem lies.”

He added that the coming of APC was never a merger but a conspiracy.“What they called merger, if they have truly merged, this fragmentation within the party of CPC tendency, new PDP and others which is manifesting now would not have been there.

“So there was a conspiracy and not a merger. If we merge, then the identities of the merging entities will diminish, but that is not the situation now. What we are seeing now, is a contention within APC, to show you that there was no merger. It will take some time before it settles.”

Iwuanyanwu also riducled the rationale behind Buhari’s claim of salary slash “What about your allowances? What about security votes that runs into 500 million naira a month? Why don’t you talk about that one rather than a salary of 7 to 12 million?”
