I support Iran Nuclear Deal - Buhari declares his hatred for Israel
Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday pledged his support for the Iran Nuclear deal, which Israeli Prime Minister has condemned as a "historic mistake". This declaration of support by Buhari directly pitches Nigeria against Israeli interests.

Israel is wary of the deal as it believes it is a ploy for Iran to aquire nuclear weapon, which it would be used against Israel.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday the agreement between Iran and six world powers on Tehran’s nuclear program is a “historic mistake for the world.”

“Wide-ranging concessions were made in all of the areas which should have prevented Iran from getting the ability to arm itself with a nuclear weapon,’’ Mr. Netanyahu said. “The desire to sign an agreement was stronger than everything else.”
Mr. Netanyahu had warned that lifting economic sanctions on Iran will give Tehran “hundreds of billions of dollars” to boost support its allies in the Middle East that are also Israel’s enemies.

Buhari commended Iran and the six world powers for their agreement on the use of nuclear technology. According to Buhari, Nigeria, under his leadership, Nigeria would continue to support the use of nuclear technology for peaceful purposes and human development only.

Buhari spoke at a meeting with visiting Iranian Vice President for Executive Affairs, Mohammed

Shariatmadari, at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.

According to Buhari, the agreement is a major step toward achieving peace and stability in the Middle East.

As a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, Buhari said, Nigeria looks forward to a faithful implementation of the terms of the agreement by all parties.

For his unrelenting support for Iran, Buhari  received an invitation from the Iranian Vice President to attend an upcoming Summit of Gas Exporting Countries in Tehran.

Mr. Shariatmadari congratulated Buhari on his election and assured Nigerian of Iran’s support in the fight against terrorism and violent extremism.

“The government of President Hassan Rouhani of Iran advocates moderation and departure from any form of extremism,’’ he said.
