Benjamin Adenkunle was one of the war criminals who believed they would wipe out every Igbo-speaking Biafran. Adekunle boasted on several occassions and to international media that he would kill every thing in Biafran if given the opportunity.

In one of his notorious quotes Adekunle stated:

“I no want see Red Cross, no Caritas, no World Council of Churches, no pope, no missionary, and  no United Nations Delegation. I want to prevent even one Igbo from having even one piece to eat before their capitulation. We shoot at everything that moves and when our troops march into the center of Igbo territory, we shoot at everything even a things that don’t move”— Benjamin Adekunle

There is no doubt many Yorubas still harbour same level of animousity towards Igbo-speaking Biafran like Adenkule
