Buhari's reign of terror! Nigerian Air Force Gunships massacre 350 in Biafra

The Biafran has gathered that the unprovoked bombardment of the creeks of Biafra by the Nigerian Air Force Helicopter gunships following orders of the Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshall Adesola Amosu, DailyTrust reports has resulted in the death of over 350 people. Terrorised residents of Ikot Obiokut Akwa Ibom are currently living under fear following the attack by Nigerian Air Force.

One villager who escaped the massacre by swimming across the creek reported that they were going about their normal business when suddenly the gunships flew over the village.

Villagers of the border community who were not engaged in any criminal activity came out to wave to the aircrafts when suddenly the gunships opened fire. Those who ran into their houses were roasted when they gunship came back and napalmed the whole village.

One of the survivors, Uwem, who spoke to a correspondent said he is thoroughly traumatised by the attack and now living in fear of his life.

The Biafran correspondent learnt that incendiary bombs were used in the bombardment. 

The indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned the bombing of creeks in Calabar and Akwa Ibom. The IPOB describes it as a provocative attempt to preempt reactions from Biafrans. In a special broadcast, Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radion Biafra and leader of the IPOB called on Biafrans especially those in the Niger Delta to rally around each other as Buhari begins to attack Biafra.

The Nigerian Air Force claims the bombing was conducted to dislodge gunmen suspected to be pirates and militants on the Calabar waterways, who carry out frequent attacks on vessels, police stations and seafarers including market women on the Calabar waterways. Commander of the 207 Special Mobility Group based in Calabar, Air Commodore Charles Ohwo said the air force was able to bomb suspected targets in the entire creeks of Calabar waterways up to Bakassi and environs and that the raid would extend to creeks in Akwa Ibom State.

To cover the terrorists attacks on Biafrans the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshall Alex Badeh on Friday revealed that intelligence reports available to the Armed Forces showed that the Youths from the Niger Delta region have started taking up arms and engaging in criminal activities along the creeks and the water ways of the region.

Air Mashal Alex Badeh disclosed this during the inauguration ceremony of the permanent complex of the Headquarters of the Joint Task Military Force, Operation Pulo Shield, along Igbogene/ Okolobiri road in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, said the increase in illegal arms and ammunition possession by youths of the region has led to an increase in cases of oil theft, kidnapping and other criminal activities in the region.

Badeh said though the Nigerian Armed Forces entered into an agreement with the Niger Delta youths and former militants to disarm and partner with the Federal Government on empowerment and development initiatives,the recent cases of criminality may force the military to review such agreement and turn its arsenal on the region.

According to Badeh, “Criminalities in the Niger Delta, we thought, have stopped but now they are on the rise again. But I know that our gallant men and women are equal to the task. We are after the bad men, we are good men and darkness can never overtake light. No nation can develop in the presence of so much criminality.”

However, there is yet any evidence to substantiate the claims of the Nigerian military forces.
