| Secession! Yorubas meet at Ijebu-Ode for Oduduwa Nation Declaration on May 26th |
The Yoruba's are planning to secede from Nigeria. There are various active subterranean movement currently ongoing in Yorubaland for the declaration of Oduduwa Republic.
According to the information from Makanjuola Adigun Muhammed, a coordinator of the National Mobilization Movement For Oduduwa Republic and Oduduwa Voice, the Oduduwa Nation will officially be declared on the 26th of May, 2015 at Ijebu Ode.
"The Ijebu declaration of 26th May,2015, to the United Nations, will be proceeded with a powerful Yoruba-cum Oduduwa powerful delegation to the United Nations to submit an official request and presentations, for the conduct of National/International United Nations supervised Referendum for the Indigenous People of the Oduduwa Nation.This current process goes beyond the interests of the ruling class in both PDP and the APC, it is the destiny of a people concerning their future in Nigeria."
The statement reads:
Many pan-Yoruba-Nigerian citizens who oppose the demand for the breakup of Nigeria possess the rights to object to such an idea of a peaceful breakup but they cannot also deny those who choose the breakup for their own dear Yoruba nation not to have their ways too.
The question of historical facts will be,where was Nigeria in 1884 when Africa was partition among the white invaders to share as common possession?where not a Yorubaland with its map,geography and people,not in existence?where not same thing, in place before the satanic amalgamation was negatively effected?
The Ijebu Ode meeting is going to present the demand of the Yoruba who want an Oduduwa Republic to the International Community under the auspices of the United Nations while those who among the Yoruba who still prefer the Continuation of the one Nigeria concept can wait for United Nations supervised No Independence or Yes to Independence vote,for each sides to determine via the outcome of the total votes cast during the UN monitoring process.
No citizen will be force or induced to vote against he or her conscience and the minimum age of those who will be eligible to participate by voting in the Referendum process will be 18 years above as required under International law and Convention of rights of Indigenous peoples and Nations to self-determination.
