Igbos still on top! Igbo candidates constitutes 48% 2014 merit admission list to Kings's College 

Igbos are shinning in the education sector likewise others in Nigeria. Recent improvements occasioned by the administration of Goodluck Jonathan, have led to unprecedented disclosures and openness in various sectors of the economy, which hitherto has been suppressed to undermine the prowess of the Igbos.


From Federal Unity Schools to WAEC, Igbo States and candidates have been topping the lists, which contradicts the notion that Igbos are mere uneducated businessmen that lacks academic abilities.

List of students admitted into the prestigious Kings College Lagos is out. A quick analysis of the MERIT list shows that candidates of Igbo origin top the performance chart by taking 48% of available slots on MERIT.

A further look reveals that students of Igbo origin produced 15 out of the best performing 20 candidates which translates to 75%.
