Nigeria’s amalgamation, a mistake -Afenifere Chieftain

A  Chieftain of Afenifere,  a pan Yoruba socio-political group,  Sir Olaniwun Ajayi  said   the  

amalgamation of Southern  and Northern protectorate in 1914  was a mistake contrary  to the 

submition by President Goodluck Jonathan.

The elder statesman  who is a member of  the national confab representing Ogun state, said  this  shortly  after the state governor,  Senator Ibikunle Amosun inaugurated the delegates from the state  to the national confab.

Yoruba Muslim Terrorists in Britain jailed for life

Michael Adebolajo has been given a whole-life term and Michael Adebowale has been jailed for a minimum of 45 years for murdering Fusilier Lee Rigby.

Adebolajo, 29, and Adebowale, 22, drove into Fusilier Rigby with a car before hacking him to death in Woolwich, south-east London, in May last year.

The judge, Mr Justice Sweeney, said Adebolajo's case was one of those "rare cases" warranting a whole-life term.

Rochas Okorocha shuns Igbo governors meeting

The Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has again shunned a meeting of all governors in the South East geopolitical zone of Nigeria. The Governors in the South East zone met in Enugu on Tuesday to discuss issues of common interest.
 The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the meeting, which lasted for seven hours, ended without a communiqué.
 The meeting, which held at the Governor’s Lodge in Enugu, was  attended by the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, Theodore  Orji of Abia, Martin Elechi of Ebonyi, and the host, Sullivan Chime of  Enugu.
